The Daily Mail says City boss Pep Guardiola is growing frustrated over the pursuit of Walker.

The clubs have opened discussions about the England international but are still some £10million apart in their valuations.

City have proposed an offer of around £40million for Guardiola's main target while Tottenham want closer to £50m.

Walker has long been Guardiola's first option for right-back and the Spanish tactician was hopeful of getting players in place quickly ahead of a return to pre-season.
