Manchester City have completed the signing of Athletic Bilbao and former France Under-21 centre-back Aymeric Laporte for a club record fee of €65m (£57m), the full value of the player's buyout clause with Athletic Bilbao. Laporte, who has already been handed the number 14 shirt, has signed a five-and-a-half year contract at the Etihad Stadium that promises to keep him at the club until the summer of 2023.
