Man City News: Barca battle due for Kimmich; Joel Latibeaudiere hopes for chance

Manchester City are preparing a massive bid for Bayern Munich fullback Joshua Kimmich.

City will compete with Barcelona for Kimmich, says Sport.

The 22-year-old has quickly become a key player at the Allianz Arena following a £6m move from RB Leipzig in 2015.

Both Barca and City are willing to go to €50m for Kimmich.

City boss Pep Guardiola famously heralded Kimmich as one of the world's best defenders months before his Bayern departure.

Meanwhile, City youngster Joel Latibeaudiere hopes he can make it under Guardiola.

Latibeaudiere captained England to U17 World Cup glory on Saturday.

“It's really important that this is just the start of things. Nobody wants to be forgotten after doing this," he said.

“But it's so exciting to be a part of a team that can hopefully go on together and a few years down the line this group can achieve something."
