Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is plotting a move for Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic.
Diario Gol says Guardiola is ready to raid his old club to ferry the Croatia international to England, having come close to signing him in January.
"I wish I could meet him and have some coffee with him someday," stated Rakitic of Guardiola earlier this summer.
And that "wish" could now be granted with City to slap in an offer for the midfielder.
Rakitic has stated he's happy at Barca, but circumstances could change closer to the transfer deadline should new Barca coach Ernesto Valverde shake-up his midfield with new additions.
