Manchester City plotting a swoop for Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson following frustration in the chase for Jonny Evans.
City are currently in the market to sign a new central defender and had been targeting a move for the West Bromwich Albion defender.
With the Baggies demanding around £30m for Evans though, City have been forced to look at transfer targets elsewhere and reports from the London Evening Standardclaim that the Citizens are currently eyeing up a swoop for Gibson.
