Man Utd assure De Gea over latest Real Madrid transfer claims

Published on: 01 June 2017

Manchester United have assured David de Gea that no offer from Real Madrid has arrived.

It was claimed yesterday that a £60 million bid had been lodged for the Spain international.

However, the Manchester Evening News says United have not received a bid for the 26-year-old Spain international and insist he is happy at the club and not agitating to leave.

De Gea, 26, is contracted to United until 2019 and the club has the option of extending it by an additional year.

It is understood United would only consider a fee double that of the world record £32.6million Juventus paid for a goalkeeper in 2001, when Gianluigi Buffon moved to Turin from Parma.
