Man Utd boss Mourinho to retain Young despite Stoke interest

Published on: 23 July 2017

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has decided to keep Ashley Young at the club.

According to the Sun, the winger has become a target of United's Premier League rivals, Stoke City.

However, with Champions League football this season, the 32-year old remains in Mourinho's plans. Young's flexibility and athleticism allow for him to play as a right wing-back, as well as pushing further up the field.

The Englishman has been at club since moving from Aston Villa for £15m in 2011 and has gone on to make 164 appearances for the Red Devils.
