Man Utd Defender Luke Shaw Could Be Reunited With Former Boss Next Summer

According to the Mirror, Manchester United fullback Luke Shawcould be set for a move to White Hart Lane in the summer, but it all depends whether Manchester City target current Tottenham defender Danny Rose.

Luke Shaw's 3 year spell at Old Trafford looks to be coming to an abrupt end as Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has appeared to lose faith in the young England international, recently announcing in a pre-match press conference that Shaw was his fourth choice left-back.

The English defender was completely left out of the squad for last Sunday's EFL Cup final against his former club Southampton at Wembley and he also wasn't named in United's matchday squad travelling to France to face Saint-Etienne last Thursday.

The last time Shaw was announced in the starting XI was in the FA Cup 4th Round tie against Championship side Wigan at Old Trafford at the end of January. Since then, he has not made a single appearance for his club and most importantly, he has only been involved in one matchday squad in that time.

The Mirror reports that Shaw has accepted his fate and he expects to leave Old Trafford in the summer unless things drastically change between him and his manager.

The report also states that Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is ready to welcome the 21 year old to White Hart Lane but only if Danny Rose is tempted by Pep Guardiola and Manchester City. It's reported that Guardiola wants another full-back at the club as the ones currently there are getting older and Danny Rose appears to be the perfect candidate.

Should Rose indeed move to Manchester, this could mean that Shaw moves to North London and have the opportunity to reunite with his former Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino.
