Manchester United central defender Chris Smalling believes that he is ready to handle the threat posed by Jamie Vardy as his side travel to Leicester in the Premier League.
Smalling is no stranger to the threat posed by Vardy, having played against him several times, and with him on international duty.
"Yes, he is [a threat]," Smalling told MUTV. "I enjoy my tussles with 'Vards'.
"He is someone who is a bit of a nightmare for defenders because he is often ratting around and chasing with non-stop running.
"He runs in behind which, as a defender, is the hardest thing to deal with, but I will be looking forward to that battle and, hopefully, I'll be ready to keep him quiet."
United want to bounce back from a Carabao Cup defeat to Bristol City, and they know that any more dropped points in the league will be the end of the title battle against Manchester City.
