Manchester United are swooping for Real Betis teen Roberto Gonzalez.

The Sun says United will snap up Spanish youth international attacker Gonzalez and pay compensation to the Seville outfit.

Gonzalez, 16, is rated one of the best youngsters in Spain and is a rare capture for United under the noses of Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.

United will put Gonzalez straight into their academy side as they look to improve their European recruitment.

Nicky Butt, United's Academy director, has recognised the need to lift the standard of player coming through the system.
