Man Utd Starlet Marcus Rashford Emerges as Shock Loan Target for La Liga Side

Manchester United youth sensation Marcus Rashford has emerged as a loan target for La Liga side Sevilla this year.

The 19-year-old forward burst onto the scene midway through last season, establishing himself as one of Europe's brightest prospects, and making his way into the England squad.

He is rated quite highly by new boss Jose Mourinho, who has surprisingly given him a good run in the side this season, albeit mostly from the bench.

Rashford has scored six times for the club so far, and is attracting attention from all over. While managers at other clubs know that United will not consider selling their prized asset, they are hopeful of getting him on loan.

According toThe Sun, Sevilla are desperate to sign the player on loan for the rest of the season. West Ham are also said to be very keen.

Mourinho, though, has no intention to allow the teenager to leave, and also believes that he can eclipse Wayne Rooney's goal tally at the club if he spends the rest of his career at Old Trafford.

Marcus, he is 19. If he plays for Man United until the end of his career, maybe Marcus can do it. But Rooney has scored a lot of goals," said the former Chelsea boss.

Especially in modern football I see it as really difficult. So who knows?

Rashford's United and England teammate Chris Smalling seems to think the same, and has backed the youngster to become a record breaker at the club.

He said: If he can stay injury free there is no stopping him in terms of records he could get.
