Manchester United are weighing up a move for Fiorentina midfielder Federico Bernardeschi.
Mediaset Premium says United have turned to Bernardeschi after baulking at Inter Milan's asking price for Ivan Perisic.
Inter are believed to want €55 million for the Croatian winger.
But a deal has not been reached and the Reds are weighing up a Plan B in the form of Bernardeschi.
The Italy winger is out of contract at Fiorentina next summer and has so far refused to sign an extension.
Juventus are said to be prepared to offer €40m plus bonuses but Fiorentina would rather sell abroad with United and Chelsea linked.
