Man Utd's Forgotten Winger Ashley Young Is Wanted by 6 Premier League Clubs in January Window

Manchester United's versatilewinger Ashley Young is wanted by a host ofPremier League clubs, and the former England man could be available for£5m in January.


The former Aston Villa man joined United for a reported£17 million back in 2011, and has 18 months remaining on his contract.Top flight rivals:Burnley, Everton, Hull, Swansea, Watford and West Brom are all rumoured to be considering picking up the star for a cut price.

Ashley Young has made just nine appearances for Jose Mourinho's team this season and has been something of a bit part player. However, according tothe SunMourinho is a fan of Young's attitude, and may be reluctant to let sanction amove next month.

However, the United boss does however have many other players capable of playing on the wings, and Young is quite far downthe pecking order.

Should the 31-year-old look to push through a move away from Old Trafford in search of more game time, hemay have to accept a pay cut on his £100,000 a week wage.


Recently, Young has been used as both a full back and a wing back to help solidify their defence.In his 147 games for United, Young has scored just 14 goals, the majority of which came in his first season at the club under Sir Alex Ferguson.


Young's most recent start came in United's 2-0 away to Ukrainian side Zorya earlier this month in the Europa League group stage.
