A Manchester MP has written to UEFA to urge them to scrap the ban for Manchester United defender Phil Jones.
Jones has been given a two game European ban after he allegedly swore at a UEFA doping official.
Jones' anger came from wanting to take part in the Love Manchester picture paying tribute to those affected by the Manchester bomb.
Now, MP Graham Stringer has written to UEFA to express his disappointment:
"Particularly important have been the support by our major football teams Manchester United and Manchester City, I am therefore very disappointed that one of your officials stopped the Manchester United player Phil Jones from having his photo taken with his team mates after Manchester United's victory in this year's Europa Cup League Final holding a banner showing solidarity with all the victims of the terrorist attack.
"The action by your officials to be an insult to everybody affected by this bomb and the people of Manchester and I would ask you to immediately rescind the two match ban on Manchester United player Phil Jones."
