Manchester United Legend Gary Neville Expects Hotly-Contested Game Ahead of Arsenal Clash

Gary Neville is hoping that Saturday's clash between Manchester United and Arsenal will be a closely contested affair, and has bemoaned one-way drubbings of the past that have left the neutral bored.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Neville said: I hope this Manchester United v Arsenal game on Saturday is a real game.

A proper game, where there is that real competitive edge, with both teams going for it with great football. I also want to see great organisation, with not a lot being given away."

Having gone into the international break with a 3-1 victory over Swansea, confidence will be high in the Man United camp. A victory against Arsenal could be what's needed to get the Neville's former club'sseason up and running, after a faltering start.

Arsenal, however, will be looking to get back to winning ways after their 1-1 draw against rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Neville, who spent 19 years at Old Trafford as a defender, referenced his former club's famous thrashings over their North London counterparts as examples of how the entertainment can suffer in the encounters.

"The 8-2 games, or the 5-0, 6-0 games, in some ways they're not that good a game, because what you really want is for it to be a massive struggle between the top teams, and that's what I'd hope on Saturday. Neville said.

As an additional incentive for the Gunners,Arsene Wenger will be looking for his first Premier Leaguewin overJose Mourinho. Having failed in his last 11 attempts, the Frenchman will be hoping to make it twelfth time lucky against his old adversary.

It is also ten years since Arsenal's lastwin atOld Trafford, and the North Londoners will be looking to end their barren spell at the stadium as they attempt to cement their title credentials.
