Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand believes that Atlético Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey will provide the needed reinforcement for the club in their quest to return to the top of football.
The Red Devils have been linked to the 26 year for a while now together with some of the biggest clubs in Europe. His current release clause stands at 50 million euros.
It was revealed that he was in negotiations for a new contract in Madrid but was left unsatisfied with their offer. He now seeks a move to another club and United may look to pounce.
Ferdinand also listed other options for his former club.
“Perhaps I would go to find Thomas Partey of Atlético Madrid or Ndidi of Leicester to reinforce the midfield. Another player I like is Saúl Ñíguez . He is a very, very good player at the core, " he said in the Beautiful Game program
