The 22-year-old has been a gem for the Dutch side in the ongoing campaign.

Having struggled under Alfred Schreuder, Kudus has a key figure for Ajax under interim manager, John Heitinga.

He has featured as a centre forward, attacking midfielder, central midfielder and right winger for the Eredivisie club, yet his performances have not dipped.

With 17 goals in 32 appearances for Ajax in all competitions, Kudus is enjoying a purple patch this campaign despite Ajax lagging three points behind Feyenoord in the league.

In Qatar, the forward marked his name on the world stage. He was Ghana's main man in the group stages, his brace against South Korea in particular earmarked him for greater things to come.

However, Kudus is a top target for Manchester United as Erik ten Hag aims to reunite with Kudus.

Before Ghana's last match at the World Cup against Uruguay, Kudus explained it was the influence of Ten Hag which convinced him to join Ajax.

He explained in an interview with Algemeen Dagblad: "Because the club is known for developing talent, I talked about that with trainer Erik ten Hag.

"In his style of play, creative and attacking, I saw myself. It was exactly in line with my personal qualities and how I wanted to develop."
