Manchester United tracking Meunier

With the January window on the horizon, there's plenty brewing in the transfer market. All the latest deals and potential deals can be found here.

TOP STORY: Man United chase Meunier

Manchester United are hot on the heels of Belgian right-back Thomas Meunier, according to the Sun.

The 26-year-old has lost his place at Paris Saint-Germain to Dani Alves this season and is contemplating his future after saying he feels like "a second option" for manager Unai Emery.

Meunier would provide strong competition for Antonio Valencia at Old Trafford, but United aren't the only club monitoring his situation.

Real Madrid and Juventus are also credited with an interest in the former Club Brugge full-back, who could be on the move in January.

Along with Meunier, Manchester United are also taking a look at Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro, reports the Daily Mail.

The Brazilian has established himself as a key player at the Santiago Bernabeu and is set to open negotiations over a contract extension.

But the report states that Jose Mourinho will watch the developments with interest, waiting to pounce if the two parties struggle to reach an agreement.

Casemiro certainly fits the mould of a Mourinho player and, with Marouane Fellaini's contract expiring at the end of the season, he could step into the role of midfield enforcer.

PSG want Coutinho next summer

There has been plenty of talk about PSG trying to gazump Barcelona's bid for Philippe Coutinho recently, and it's now reported the Ligue 1 giants will make their move next summer.

According to TF1, Les Parisiens have made Coutinho their No. 1 target after sporting director Antero Henrique met the Brazilian's agent Kia Joorabchian last week to discuss a potential transfer.

Barcelona are still thought to be Coutinho's preferred destination, but PSG hope his close friendship with Neymar could swing the move in their favour.

Tap-ins

- Arsenal are plotting a £2 million move for Ipswich starlet Tristan Nydam, reports the Sun. The 17-year-old midfielder has broken into the Tractor Boys' first team this term and could return on loan if the Gunners push through a deal in January.

- Juventus have withdrawn their interest in Andre Gomes, leaving Tottenham with a free run at the midfielder, claims Mundo Deportivo. The Portugal international started in Barcelona's win against Athletic Bilbao at the weekend, but apparently isn't part of manager Ernesto Valverde's long-term plans.

- Rumoured Chelsea target Ciro Immobile is being lined up for a €70 million move to China, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Shanghai SIPG are prepared to spend big on the striker following his 14 goals in 11 Serie A matches this season, but Lazio are reluctant to sell -- even at the astronomical figures that have been quoted.

- The Sun claims Arsenal's hero of the hour, Eddie Nketiah, will receive a whopping 650 percent pay rise in his new five-year deal at the club. The 18-year-old will be rewarded with a £15,000-per-week contract after scoring twice in the League Cup comeback victory over Norwich.
