Liverpool forward Sadio Mane believes he can be an even better player next season after an impressive campaign last term for the Senegalese star.

Mane was a key figure in a fine campaign for a Liverpool side that won the Champions League after just missing out on the Premier League title.

Despite being one of the first names on the teamsheet for Jurgen Klopp's side, Mane says he has no intention of standing still and is determined to develop into a better player next season.

Mane told Liverpool's official website: "To be honest, I think I improved a lot in my finishing.

"It was positive because I can say I improved every season, which is important in my development. I will try to work harder and harder to get better and better."

The 27-year-old has also come out and hailed the Liverpool supporters for their backing last term and feels they were crucial in helping the players to achieve their goals.

"They played a big part in the season," Mane added. "[There were] very difficult games at home and they were always here. Keep on going because we need you! It's very important.

"It makes the club special and it's really important. Sometimes it can be a bad day and if the fans give you more motivation, it's positive for the team and for them as well."

Liverpool are 9/4 to win the Premier League title next season.
