Manuel Neuer has admitted he is "honoured" to be linked with a move to Manchester City - but insisted he is happy to stay at Bayern Munich.
Media reports had linked the German goalkeeper with a reunion with Pep Guardiola, at the Etihad Stadium, after he had worked under the Catalan at the Allianz Arena for three seasons.
However, in quotes published by talkSPORT, Neuer stated his intent to remain with the Bundesliga giants after penning a new contract with his current employers that runs until June 2019.
He said: There was no contact and, as you know, I'm happy and satisfied here - and my contract I've just extended actually.
"It honours me that there's speculation and talk about it. Pep still has my phone number - but he hasn't called me, so everything is alright."
Guardiola was in charge of Bayern for three seasons before opting to depart to take over from Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City in the summer of 2016.

The 46-year-old brought another of his former players - Claudio Bravo - to the Premier League as his new number one shot stopper after stating that Joe Hart, currently on loan at Serie A side Torino, was not part of his plans going forward.
Bravo's displays in sky blue, however, have led to Guardiola allegedly contemplating bringing in goalkeeping reinforcements for the second summer in a row after the Chile international picked up a paltry seven clean sheets in his first 26 games for the club.
Willy Caballero has been preferred in goal for the Citizens in recent matches, and his recall to the side has led gossip columns to speculate that Bravo's time in Manchester is already nearing its end just nine months after he moved to England.
That speculation has led to the perhaps lazy conjecture that Neuer could be reunited with Guardiola - the latest Bayern player to have been done so - with the 30-year-old's impressive performances throughout his Bayern career making him one of the world's leading custodians in the game.
Neuer has registered a more-than-decent return of 149 clean sheets in 283 games for Bayern, and has helped the German giants land 11 trophies since his £25m move from Schalke in 2011.
Neuer is likely to be in action for Bayern when they take on Arsenal in the Champions League last-16 stage on Wednesday evening.
