Rumors have emerged in recent times claiming that Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is currently not happy in Spain amid tax fraud accusations leveled at him and some reports have claimed that the Portuguese captain could be heading back to former club Manchester United this summer.

However, Marcotti does not believe that Ronaldo will rejoin United and explained that the 32-year-old will be staying put in Madrid due to financial reasons.

"My hunch says he is going to stay because it makes sense from a financial and branding position," Marcotti told ESPN.

Former Real star Miguel Salgado also expects Ronaldo to remain in Madrid and said: "Real Madrid do not want Cristiano to leave. He will not find a club that gives him more than Madrid."
