Mario Balotelli features as a substitute for AC Monza in defeat to Pisa

Italy forward of Ghanaian descent, Mario Balotelli was in action for AC Monza last Friday when the team suffered a 2-0 defeat to Pisa in the Italian Serie B.

Since joining the Italian lower-tier club in a sensational move, the former Manchester City star has battled with fitness issues and hence has not featured in consecutive matches.

In a Matchday 23 encounter on Friday, Mario Balotelli was called into action as a second-half substitute to help AC Monza chase for a comeback against Pisa.

Unfortunately, his effort could not turn around the two goals conceded by AC Monza prior to his introduction.

A brace netted by Simone Palombi steered Pisa to victory as it condemned the home team to a defeat.

Meanwhile, KP Boateng was also in action for AC Monza on the match and did impress with his performance.

The duo will hope to help AC Monza recover and return to winning ways in their next match.
