Match-fixing allegations against Hearts of Oak are just speculations – Opare Addo

The Communications Director of Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opera Addo has addressed allegations that the club has been selling matches this season.

Speaking to Asempa FM on Tuesday, June 6, he said the allegations are just speculations.

According to him, Hearts of Oak have never engaged in match-fixing or sold any of their matches.

“Rumors that Hearts of Oak has been selling their matches are speculations,” Kwame Opare Addo said.

Asked whether the club will accept that it does not listen to advice, the Hearts of Oak Communications Director said it is not true.

He said, “It cannot be said that Hearts of Oak’s board is one that doesn’t listen

“Hearts of Oak need to put in their all in everything they do for Togbe Afede.”

Ahead of the final game of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season, Hearts of Oak risks suffering relegation.

The team must draw or beat Berekum Chelsea on Sunday, June 11, to guarantee that the side stays in the top-flight league.
