Asante Kotoko recorded a narrow 1-0 victory at home over Ghana Premier league leaders WA All Stars on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Stadium. The win was sealed courtesy skipper Amos Frimpong's second half strike which was enough tohand all three points against All Stars.
The visitors were the better side in the first half, dominating possession and pinning back the Porcupines defence but failed to trouble the goal while their opponents made rare attacking forays..
Kotoko improved vastly after the break and got their just reward in the keenly contested clash.
Frimpong headed home Samuel Kyere's free kick in the 67th minute mark, a lead Kotoko managed to hang on to till the end.
The goal was talisman Frimpong's second in successive games following the one he got last Sunday versus Techiman City.
