MATCH REPORT: Hasaacas 0-4 Hearts – High flying Phobians silence bragging Doo Boys

High flying Hearts of Oak silenced bragging Division One League side Sekondi Hasaacas, walloping them by 4-0 in a friendly at the Sekondi Gyandu Park on Sunday.

A brace from youngster Manaf Umar, and one each from Joseph Esso and Obeng Junior secured the victory for the Phobians.

Hearts Coach Kim Grant started the game with a 4-3-3 formation, having Kofi Kordzi, Sellasie Bakai and Obeng Junior leading the lines upfront.

The Phobians dictated the pace from the start of the game, announcing their intentions of dismantling the Doo Boys who made endless noise ahead of the game.

The breakthrough came in the 20th minute with Joseph Esso converting from the spot to give Hearts the lead after Fatawu Mohammed was brought down.

Obeng Jnr doubled the lead 15 minutes later by heading home from a rebound.

Isaac Mensah of Hasaacas was yellow carded a few minutes before the break for a foul on Sumaila Ibrahim as the home side held on till the break.

Hasaacas made two changes at the start of this of second half with goalkeeper John Arthur being replaced by Tony Brebo while Philip Slamini came on for Obed Asamoah.

Hearts of Oak started second half brightly with Dankyi setting up Obeng, but his shot narrowly missed the target.

Sumaila Ibrahim and Obeng Junior made way for Christopher Bonney and Anthony Quayson ten minutes from the break.

Super-sub Manaf Umar came on in the 61st minutes for Aminu Alhassan with the golden leg to increase the tally for the Phobians.

Manaf Umar made an immediate impact by adding the third for the Phobians by firing one past the keeper from a counter attack move by the Phobians.

Manaf got himself a brace seven minutes later after out-jumping his marker to head home his second and Hearts’ fourth after a fine cross from the right.

With 20 minutes to end proceedings, Robert Addo also came on for Mohammed Alhassan while Raddy Ovouka for Dankyi, Kordie for Esso and Selasi Bakai for Fatawu Mohammed .

Sekondi Hassacas introduced some urgency in their game but were not even spared a consolation as the Phobians demonstrated supremacy.
