Match Report: Mali 1-0 Ghana – Ghana’s World Cu dreams blown apart by determined Mali

Ghanaians have been left completely flummoxed and flabbergasted by Jimmy Corbblah and his boys after failing to secure a draw to pick a World Cup ticket following a 1-0 defeat to Mali.

The Black Satellites were highly tipped to pick the last World Cup ticket before the clash with Mali but Hadji Frame’s second half strike shuttered their dreams.

The u results means Ghana have been eliminated from the 2019 Africa U20 Cup of Nations following just at the group stage.

Former U17 star Hadji Drame’s strike secured Mali a place in the semifinals of the Africa Youth Championship in Niger and the final ticket for the World Cup to be staged in Poland in May.

Back from the break, Coach Mamoutou Kane’s charges mounted pressure on the Black Satellites which earned them the match-winner in thee 53rd minute.

Ibrahim Sadiq, Saliw Babawo, Ibrahim Sulley were introduced in the second half to replace Emmanuel Kumah, Enoch Atta Agyei and Sabit Abdulai respectively but they could do little to change the scoreline.

Ghana failed to level the score as the match ended in a 1-0 lead in favor of Mali.
