Mats Hummels Claims Carlo Ancelotti Wants More From Bayern Munich Players Ahead of PSV Clash

Bayern Munich centre back Mats Hummels has said that manager Carlo Ancelotti wants more from his players after a three-game winless run.

Having started the season with eight consecutive victories in all competitions, Bayern have drawn their last two league games after losing their last Champions League game against Atletico Madrid.

Hummels, signed from rivals Borussia Dortmund in the summer, believes that he and his teammates can improve on their recent performances.

Speaking at a press conference, quoted byESPN, Hummels said:"Carlo Ancelotti has demanded more commitment.

"We can't be happy with our performances over the last few games. We noticed the intensity had slacked off in training and we've already shown a reaction by upping our levels.

"There's been a whole lot more energy, and I think Ancelotti will be pleased with how we've really got stuck in the last couple of days."

Hummels also revealed that the Italian coach is not always as relaxed as he seems, admitting that he was angry after Bayern twice let a lead slip to draw their last game 2-2 against Frankfurt.

"Yes he's a nice guy, but not always," he added. "He was very unhappy about the way we played [against Frankfurt] on Saturday and rightly laid into us at half-time.

"The team had a chat directly after the game. We agreed that that we have lots of potential to improve and we want to immediately show that tomorrow.

"We can't be happy when we play like we have done recently, and will only be pleased when we reach our absolute maximum potential."
