Matthew Amoah Jr, son of former Ghanaian international Matthew Amoah, has inked his inaugural professional contract with Dutch Eredivisie powerhouse Feyenoord Rotterdam.

Amoah Jr, aged 15, has committed to Feyenoord until 2027, with provisions for renewal.

The talented attacking midfielder developed through Feyenoord's esteemed academy, having joined in 2018 after starting his football journey with NAC Breda.

Expected to join Feyenoord's U-18 squad for the upcoming season, Amoah Jr aims to make a significant impact in the Divisie 1 Spring and Fall championships.

He looks forward to occasional opportunities with the first team, initially as a peripheral figure before solidifying his place in the senior squad.

His father, Matthew Amoah, a stalwart of the Ghanaian national team, amassed 45 appearances and 12 goals over nearly a decade.

He notably represented Ghana in the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cup tournaments as part of the country's celebrated generation of footballers.
