Mauricio Pochettino Praises Harry Kane After Match Winning Brace Against West Ham United

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has praised Harry Kane after the striker scoreda brace in their 3-2 win over West Ham United, dubbing him'one of the best strikers in the world," in his post match comments.


Kane scored the match winning penalty late in added time and the Argentine admits they have missed the 23-year-old:"Harry Kane is always very important, he is our main striker, you miss that type of player when he does not play for 10 or 11 games."

Spurs are still unbeaten in the league; sittingfifth in the table,Pochettino is thinking positively about their position in the league:"The table looks much better, we are three points off the top and 12 unbeaten from the beginning,"

His side were 2-1 down with just a minute left of normal time, but Kane's brace in the final minutes saw the comeback completed andPochettino said he was happy with thecharacter hisside showed:"I'm very pleased with our character. Maybe it wasn't our best game. The second half was fantastic. We always believe."


Young midfielder Harry Winks scored on his first league start for the club and celebrated with his boss, in what was anemotionalmoment. Pochettino said it was special for everybody involved:"It was a very emotional moment for him and for all of us."


Next up for Spurs is Monaco in the Champions League on Tuesday night, they then play away to Chelsea in the league, a team on a great run ofform -that unbeaten run will be under threat whenthey play the Conte's menon Saturday evening.
