The U15 team from Mauritania has made the decision to leave the FAU Region competition, which is being held in Liberia. The players from Mauritania left the competition due to age differences between them and Sierra Leone.

The pictures from the competition have gone viral on social media with football fans calling on CAF to deal with age cheating which is destroying the development of football on the continent.

Furthermore, the Mauritanian federation has been cautioned, as stated in an official release, that numerous opposing players have violated competition regulations.

"We have been informed by many spectators that the ages of some of the teams participating are far from the legal limits to participate in this championship," the statement read.
