Head coach for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Maxwell Konadu has disclosed that he has together with players of the club decided to accept any pay cut proposal from management to ensure they help in the fight against the Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease.

According to the experienced gaffer, there has been several discussions on the issue of pay cut in the midst of the Covid-19 and they have all agreed that because of the difficult times presented by the disease they need to play their part.

“With the issue of taking a pay cut in the midst of the Covid-19, it is something we have been discussing for a while now. We have discussed it will the senior players and we think it will be good for us to also help because we don’t know where all this is going to end”.

He continued, “There are a lot of people helping out. So why don’t we also sacrifice part of our salaries in the fight against the Covid-19. It is good if they [management of the club] slash our salaries to help the Covid-19 fight. It will show we support the management and so we agree on that”.
