Ghana Premier League side, Legon Cities have reached a deal to appoint Maxwell Konadu as their new head coach, Joy Sports has reported.

According to reports, the management are unhappy with the performance of the former Ashgold head coach trainer and have decided to part ways with him and have settled on Maxwell Konadu.

Talks were held o Saturday night and the 48-year-old has agreed to take over the club with an unveiling expected to be done within the week.

Konadu's appointment will be the third after Goran Barjaktarevic was sacked at an early stage of the season.

Maxwell Konadu, however, has been jobless since parting ways with Asante Kotoko in December last after losing Accra Great Olympics.

He is a former Wa All Stars coach and has served as the Black Stars assistant coach. Konadu also led the Black Stars B to place second in the 2019 WAFU tournament in Senegal

Legon Cities have now dropped into the relegation zone and now sit at the 16th position with 23 points after 22 games.
