Ghana Premier League side Medeama have handed caretaker roles to coach Stephen Pius Gurah, Ben Owu and Mark Nkrumah following the exit of Umar Abdul Rabi.

The young tactician tendered in his resignation letter right after their 1-1 stalemate against Real Tamale United at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Wednesday night.

However, on Friday, before the team’s training session at the Akoon Community Park, the President of Medeama SC, Mr. Moses Armah, officially announced the resignation of Coach Umar Rabbi from his assistant coach role to the players and technical team.

At the moment, the Yellow and Mauves will not rush in appointing a new coach for the club, Footballghana.com understands.

The leadership of the club will do a  broader consultation and analysis before appointing a substantive trainer for the club.

The new technical team first assignment will be on Sunday, as Medeama hosts Berekum Chelsea at the Akoon Park.
