Ghana champions, Medeama have been boosted by the return key players ahead of their CAF Champions League decider against Horoya AC in Guinea.

The Yellow and Mauves travel to Guinea with a 3-1 lead from the first leg and will be hoping to hold onto the advantage as they eye progress in the competition for the first time.

The Ghana champions missed eight key players last Sunday when they succumbed to 2-0 defeat to Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League week 2 fixture.

Jonathan Sowah, defender Abdul Fatawu Hamidu, Theophilous Anobah, Derrick Fordjour, and Manuel Mantey were all ruled out of the Aduana tie due to injury setback.

Other players including Ivorian Jean Ourega Vital, Kwadwo Amoako, Manuel Mantey, and Nana Kofi Babil, who buried his father over the weekend also missed the match against Aduana.

But Medeama have received a massive squad boost following the return of the eight players into the squad ahead of their trip to Guinea.

The Yellow and Mauves are expected to depart Ghana on Thursday to Guinea for the crucial encounter.

Horoya will take on the Yellow and Mauves in the second leg of the second preliminary round for a place in the group stage of the Champions League on Saturday, September 30, at the Stade General Lansana Conte in Conakry.
