Medeama SC striker, Prince Opoku-Agyemang has emphatically reiterated his outfit is the best team in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.

The Yellow and Mauve currently sit on top of the league with 36 points.

Medeama recorded a 2-1 win over Asante Kotoko in the matchday 21 games at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium over the weekend.

Emmanuel Gyamfi broke the deadlock for the Porcupine Warriors but with some minutes to the end of the first of the half, Prince Opoku-Agyemang and Richard Boadu scored two quick goals to seal all three points for Medeama.

And according to Opoku Agyemang, he admitted that Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are doing well but Medeama remain the best team in the country.

"Undoubtedly, we have the best midfielders in Ghana, there's no doubt about that," he told Kumasi FM.

"The inclusion of the new signings such Amed Toure, Zakaria Mumuni and myself have boosted the confidence of the old players.

"I don't think any club can compete us in terms of field of play this season. Our team cohesion works perfectly from the goalkeeping department to the attack.

"Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak though are doing well, to be honest, currently, the Tarkwa based club is the best club in the country," he added.

Medeama will host Ebusua Dwarfs in the matchday 22 games at the Akoon Park this weekend.
