President of Medeama SC, Moses Armah ‘Parker’ has assured Ghanaians of a successful campaign in the CAF Champions League.

The Yellow and Mauves at Akoon Park on Sunday clinched the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League trophy for the first time following a resounding 3-0 win over Tamale City.

The triumph automatically makes Medeama Ghana’s representative for the CAF Champions League.

Despite Ghana’s previous dismal showing in African inter-club competition, the Medeama boss is confident his team will restore Ghana’s missing identity on the continent.

“Because [Evans] Adotey was part of our two FA Cup triumphs so I contemplated on the possibility to be reunited with him. So we brought him and God has given the cup to us.

“We are thanking the GMC for their support with the heart that they have given, Medeama Sporting Club helping us win the two FA Cups as well as the GPL title.

“So we’re going there. We are going all out we want to break that jinx for Ghana to be on top of the African competitions.

Medeama last played in a CAF interclub competition in 2016 when Medeama beat the likes of Al-Ittihad Tripoli, Al-Ahly Shendi and South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns to make it to the Group stage.

Unfortunately, they finished third in Group A which led to their exit.
