Medeama SC has come out to show their unacceptance of the punishment given to them by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association and may take the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

The Disciplinary Committee earlier meted out some point deductions and fines to Medeama for fielding an ineligible player against Great Olympics on matchday 12 of the Ghana Premier League.

Medeama have however replied in their official statement on the club's website that they do not accept the decision and will fight a legal battle to overturn it.

"We reject the decision of the Disciplinary Committee and will fight the matter to its logical conclusion."

"We are scandalized by the decision to award boardroom points to our opponents and will not rest until the well deserved points accrued on the football pitch is restored."

They revealed that they will exhaust all internal legal channels first.

"The club has initiated processes to file an appeal against the bogus and ridiculous decision and will exhaust the internal legal channels."

"The club will also explore other options including seeking justice at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS)."
