Medeama SC sign ex-Kotoko striker Songné Yacouba

Medeama SC have completed the signing of former Asante Kotoko striker Songné Yacouba in the on-going transfer window, according to reports in the local media.

The 28-year-old penned a two-year deal with the Mauve and Yellow lads after successful negotiations ahead of league resumption.

Yacouba has been linked with a move to several club but has decided to join Medeama SC.

The club is expected to make an official announcement in the coming days.

The Burkina Faso international parted ways with Asante Kotoko after his his contract expired on Wednesday, April 1 2020.

Yacouba joined the Porcupine Warriors on a two-year deal after successful trials in 2018, however, he turned down several contract extensions talks with the club.

He became an instant hit at the club after scoring two goals and providing five assists for Kotoko during their 2018 CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

The Burkina Faso international has been linked with a move to several clubs in the league following his impressive displays in the past seasons.
