Medeama SC head coach, Ignatius Osei-Fosu has questioned the timing of CK Akonnor's sacking.

Akonnor, who was the head coach of the Black Stars and his two assistants have all been shown the exit by the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association [GFA] following a meeting held on Monday.

After a shaky start of the 2022 Fifa World Cup, the Black Stars sit 3rd with three points after two matches played.

After a review of the matches played by the Executive Council, the contract of the technical handlers have been terminated.

However, Osei Fosu, who is a former Techiman Eleven Wonders has questioned the timing of the sacking of the 46-year-old.

In a tweet shared, Osei Fosu said the timing is wrong.

Meanwhile, a three-member committee has been put together to search for a new head coach in the next 72 hours.

The members of the committee are Vice President Mark Addo, Upper East Regional Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Salifu Zida and Dr Randy Abbey.

Akonnor was appointed in January 2020, replacing Kwesi Appiah on a two-year deal.
