Medeama striker Jonathan Sowah made his mark his mark on his Black Stars debut in a 3-1 win over Liberia at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday.

He was crucial in Ghana’s third goal as it was his cutback that Jordan Ayew converted on a second attempt.

The 24-year-old Medeama forward made a memorable ten-minute substitution for Baba Iddrisu during the recent match. Despite the brief appearance, Sowah received resounding applause from the fans.

Ghana secured a victory in the friendly clash, thanks to goals from Ernest Nuamah, Mohammed Kudus, and Jordan Ayew, with a late consolation goal from the Liberian side.

This season, Sowah has been on a remarkable run, netting three goals in as many games for Medeama.

His decisive strike secured a victory against Remo Stars at the Cape Coast Stadium, and he again proved instrumental with two goals, propelling Medeama to a 2-1 triumph over Dreams FC in the GFA Super Cup.

Sowah's outstanding performance has not gone unnoticed by the Black Stars coaching staff, suggesting he might see more playing time in future encounters.

Both Sowah and Fatawu are set to return to Medeama's camp, contributing to the preparations for the crucial first-leg encounter against Horoya Sporting Club in the final phase of qualifiers for the CAF Champions League group stage.
