Mercy Tagoe appointed Black Princesses coach

Former Black Queens defender Mercy Tagoe has being assigned to take in-charge of Ghana's junior female team, the Black Princesses, footballghana.com can exclusively report.

Insiders at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) hinted on the Normalization Committee reshuffling at the various national teams and the deputy coach of the Black Queens is set to assume duty as the Princesses trainer.

Tagoe was an interim coach for the senior women's team, the Black Queens that won the WAFU trophy in 2017 and became the first female coach in the history of Ghana football to achieve such feat.

She was a member of the Queens team at the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup.
