Michael Essien sends speedy recovery message to Christian Atsu after being rescued from rubble

Ghana legend Michael Essien has sent a heartwarming message to injured Christian Atsu after being pulled out of the rubble on Tuesday.

After hours of search, Atsu has been found alive following reports of being trapped in the wake of the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Turkey on Monday.

Reacting to the rescue of Atsu, Essien took to social media to wish him a speedy recovery after sustaining injuries following the rubble.

The Ghana international was trapped under debris after the earthquake and was located after extensive search efforts.

Atsu who plays for Turkish Süper Lig club Hatayspor was in action on Sunday, scoring a late goal to secure a 1-0 win over Kasimpasa.

The winger joined Hatayspor in September after parting ways with Al Raed in Saudi Arabia.
