Michael Essien, a former Chelsea midfielder, is enjoying life on the sidelines after commencing pre-season as FC Nordsjaelland's assistant manager.

The former Black Stars player has been with the Danish club since last season but was just named assistant coach on a two-year contract.

Michael Essien shared the excitement of transferring his skills to young players on his official twitter account.

"Some midfielders advice to Magnus Andersen. A good friendly game today well done to all the boys. Let's keep on working hard," he tweeted.

Other Ghanaians at FC Nordsaelland are Kamaldeen, Abu Francis, Ibrahim Sadiq, and Woledzi.

FC Nordsaelland is currently preparing for the new season and have scheduled a series of friendly games to sharpen their rough edges before the campaign starts.
