Interim Coach of Kotoko Michael Osei

Interim coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Michael Osei is sure of beating Bechem United in Sunday’s match day 19, 2015/16 Premier League fixture at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Kotoko are unbeaten in their last four league games and despite losing to Bechem United in the MTN FA cup, Michael Osei is upbeat. “We consider the game very important. The three points matter to us. We will be doing everything to fight for it” said the coach. He pointed out that, although Kotoko overpowered Bechem United in their backyard in the first round with a 1-0 triumph, their FA Cup quarterfinal win over Kotoko in Kumasi recently gives the Porcupines more reasons to silence them. “That win they had was painful; very painful that we didn’t know what to do moments after the game. It broke our spirit for that moment but we have overcome the pain. We have to teach them a lesson on Sunday. There can’t be two ways about that. We have to beat them”. He told Asantekotokosc.com At second position with 31 points; only a point separating them and the leaders Wa All Stars – the Porcupines have their job cut out for them. They must win to have any chance of getting to the top of the table. Anything short of that will be equal to shooting themselves in the foot. The team is scheduled to train on Friday afternoon at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium before Sunday’s encounter.
