Midfield Maestro Mark Noble Ensures That Payet Is Commited to West Ham

Dimitri Payet is hot property at the moment with several clubs reportedly lining up for the Frenchman's signature in January as West Ham struggle for form.

The 29-year-old has been marvellous for West Ham since joining in the summer of 2015. His quick footwork, dead-ball ability and a keen eye for goal have made him a talisman for the Hammers.

However, with West Ham's poor run of results, Payet has been rumoured with several transfers away from London Stadium, with Manchester United the strongest of contenders.

Jose Mourinho is a big admirer of the French winger and reportedly wants to add Payet to his side as the look to get amongst the title hunt.

Despite these links, Hammers captain Mark Noble has played down reports of Payet exit in an interview withtalkSPORT.

I could go on to social media and make something up now, and all of a sudden it would be on Sky Sports News and someone would believe it. That's the way football is now.

But Dimi is fully committed; I can tell you that now.

"He is great with the lads, and I have got a very close bond with Dimi.I see him train every day. I see how he feels when we lose games.

West Ham earned a valuable point away to Liverpool this week, in which Payet scored a brilliant free-kick in the 2-2 result, putting them one point clear of relegation.

"If that free-kick doesn't go in last night, it might have been a different story.

"He scores from 30 yards again and gets us back into the game. In the Premier League now, you need that player that can be very special at times when you need him.

"Although the club needs to stop relying on him. We need, as players, to stop relying on him and help him out.

"The stats don't lie, and he has created the most amount of chances in Europe."

With West Ham struggling for results, Slaven Bilic's men may need to start finding the points, not just for Premier League survival but to ensure that they can keep their star-man come the opening of the January window.

"He has still been one of the best players for sure in the Premier League this season. It's up for the other players to score those chances he creates. He can't cross it and score himself!"
