Midfielder Godfred Donsah close to joining Belgian side Cercle Brugge from Bologna

Ghanaian international, Godfred Donsah is close to completing his transfer to Belgian side Cercle Brugge KSV from Bologna, reports in Italy has indicated.

The exciting midfielder has gone down the pecking order at his Italian Serie A side Bologna and is now convinced a move to Belgium will be the best option for him to try and get back to playing football at the top level.

Footballghana.com checks have revealed that the player flew out from his Italy base on Friday night to complete his move to Belgian club Cercle Brugge KSV.

The 23-year-old is now set to undergo a mandatory medical examination today before finally penning his signature to conclude the deal.

The move will likely be a loan deal but the Belgian top-flight side will have an option to buy at the end of the 2018/2019 for a fee of €5 million.

Donsah only managed to feature for Bologna seven times in the last Italian Serie A season and is eager to join Cercle Brugge KSV in a bid to revive his career.

He is a formal player of Hellas Verona and Cagliari, confirming his experience even as a young player. He will be a good addition for the Belgian side if the deal does go through.
