Mikel Merino is delighted with his move to Newcastle United.
The midfielder joined Newcastle from Borussia Dortmund on-loan for the season.
"I didn't play a lot of matches, but I learned from the best players in the world," said the Spanish midfielder.
“There were big names in the squad and I thought they might walk around with their chests out, but it was completely different.
“They were really nice people but you have to win there because you are at one of the best clubs and you feel that in training.
“It was incredible to see how impressive and how good they are. They do everything perfect and you have to perform at the same level."
