MND Jawula insists his appointment as chairman for GPL committee is a call to service

Newly appointed chairman of the Premier League Management Committee Lepowura MND Jawula has noted that his appointment is a call for him to serve and pay his due to the development of the sport in the country.

The former chairman of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has today been named as the head of a seven-member committee handed the job to run the affairs of the 2019/2020 League season.

Confirming his appointment in an interview with Kumasi-based Ashh FM, Lepowura MND Jawula has outlined his vision for the newly constituted committee.

He shared, “Yes it's true I have been appointed as the Chairman for the Premier League Management Committee by the new GFA”.

“It is a chance for me to serve Ghana football again because I have been in the system for some time now and I know with the support of all the stakeholders in our football, we will do a good job for the football fraternity”.

He added, “We will do all our best to make our players attractive for our National teams. My aim is to make sure that all our stadia are filled during our league games so as to bring the interest back into our game”.

He further opened up on his plans to engage the media to ensure football and for that matter, the league is promoted to the level that will attract sponsorship from the corporate world.

“We will engage the media in all our dealings because they play an important and huge role in branding the game again”.

“We know with the support of the media and the football people, our league would be attractive to the Co-corporate world”.
