Mohammed Kudus becomes third Ghanaian player to play for West Ham United

Ghana international, Mohammed Kudus has become the third Ghanaian player to play for West Ham United after sealing his move to the English Premier League club on Sunday, August 27.

West Ham United today officially announced the acquisition of the talented Black Stars attacker from Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam.

“West Ham United are delighted to announce the signing of Mohammed Kudus.

“The Hammers fought off intense competition from some of Europe’s leading clubs to secure the services of the exciting Ghana international attacker from Ajax.

“The 23-year-old joins the Irons on a five-year contract for an undisclosed fee, becoming the Club’s fourth major summer signing following his former Ajax teammate and Mexico international Edson Álvarez, Greece defender Dinos Mavropanos and England midfielder James Ward-Prowse,” the communique from West Ham United said on Sunday.

It continued, “A strong all-round player and prolific dribbler capable of making and scoring goals, Kudus has established himself as one of European football’s most sought after young players. Now, he has brought his talents to London Stadium.”

At West Ham United, Mohammed Kudus has become the third Ghanaian player to represent the club.

Before his move to become Hammer, John Paintsil and Andre Ayew in the past played for West Ham United.
