Mohammed Kudus named in 2023 Africa Cup of Nations team of game two

Ghana attacker, Mohammed Kudus has been named in Sofascore's 2023 Africa Cup of Nations team of game two.

Kudus was the bright light for the Black Stars against Egypt on Thursday evening at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.

The West Ham midfielder had 41 touches of the ball, had 91% passing accuracy, made one key pass, two shots on target, four successful long balls, and one shot blocked.

With seconds to halftime, Kudus seized the moment, capitalizing on a precision pass from Samed Salis. The net rippled as his powerful shot found its mark, sending the Ghanaian fans into euphoria. Yet, Kudus wasn't done.

In the second half, the midfielder showcased his versatility, receiving a sublime pass from Denis Odoi and skillfully curling his second goal into the net.

Egypt scored through Omar Marmoush in the 69th minute and Mostafa Mohamed in the 74th minute.

Ghana turns its attention to the must-win game against Mozambique which will be played on Monday 22nd January 2024. The game will kick off at 20:00 GMT.
